My Professional Promise
I will foster a safe and confidential space where we can explore your unique needs, deepen your relationship with yourself, and help you heal emotional wounds. Our sessions are always trauma-informed and judgment-free.
My Specialties
I specialize in treating individuals living with anxiety, successful women who don’t feel satisfied with all they’ve achieved, and those who identify as motherless mothers and motherless daughters. Often my clients identify as all three.
I Use Dynamic Approaches to Meet Your Specific Needs
-
Psychodynamic
I will help you to understand patterns in emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that might not be serving you. We will discuss how relationships from your past can affect your connections in the present.
-
Attachment-based
We will explore how your early relationships (usually the ones with a parent or caregiver) show up in your current relationships. In individual therapy, we will look into the relationship patterns that may be repeating themselves in your life.
-
Mindfulness
This is the practice of helping you connect to your emotions by bringing your awareness to the present moment. It can be a useful tool in the management of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and many other issues.
-
Person-centered
You are making an investment in yourself through our sessions, and it should feel like the time is yours. I strive to see your perspective from a genuine and non-judgmental stance.
-
Strengths-based
I truly believe that my clients have the innate ability to heal from their emotional wounds. My role is to help you connect to these natural strengths through our work in therapy.
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed
Internal Family Systems, or IFS, is about understanding the different "parts" of yourself—like the anxious part, the critic, or the calm, wise part—and working to understand what they’re trying to communicate to you. It’s a way to understand your inner world, heal old wounds, and build healthier ways of coping.
About Me
I am a motherless mother and motherless daughter myself, and wrote my master’s thesis on the impact of early maternal death on adult daughters’ attachment dynamics. I also treat anxiety, depression, life transitions, women’s issues, relational issues, attachment, parenting concerns, and grief and loss.
I am a Certified Mother Loss Provider and trained under Hope Edelman (author of ”Motherless Daughters: The Legacy of Loss" and “Motherless Mothers: How Losing a Mother Shapes the Parent You Become”) and Claire Bidwell Smith (therapist, renowned grief expert, and author).

As of January 2022, you are entitled to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided.
Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you.
There may be additional items or services I may recommend as part of your care that must be scheduled or requested separately and are not reflected in this good faith estimate. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not identified here.
The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur. If this happens, federal law allows you to dispute (appeal) the bill.
You have the right to initiate a dispute resolution process if the actual amount charged to you substantially exceeds the estimated charges stated in your Good Faith Estimate (which means $400 or more beyond the estimated charges).
This Good Faith Estimate is not intended to serve as a recommendation for treatment or a prediction that you may need to attend a specified number of psychotherapy visits. The number of visits that are appropriate in your case, and the estimated cost for those services, depends on your needs and what you agree to in consultation with your therapist. You are entitled to disagree with any recommendations made to you concerning your treatment and you may discontinue treatment at any time.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit to https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers or call 1- 800-985-3059. The initiation of the client-provider dispute resolution process will not adversely affect the quality of the services furnished to you.
